    Title: Residential Services Director

    Salary $: Full time with competitive salary and benefits based on experience.

    Primary shift day turn M-F may include evening/weekend hours based upon Agency needs.

    Overview:

    The Residential Services Director is responsible for supervision, funding and expansion of the residential services for COMPASS. This position will work closely with the CEO and community health systems in carrying out responsibilities in the following functional areas: planning, performance, funding/reimbursement, certifications and accreditations, policies, supervision of programs, liaison between residential and outpatient programs, counseling and trainings.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

     Represent agency in community mental health system’s planning and clinical issues meetings, regularly scheduled and ad hoc meeting in Mahoning County and as needed in Trumbull County

     Maintains Performance Improvement and service evaluation requests.

     Program development trends: New funding/reimbursement sources. Expanding existing services/programs as appropriate.

     Maintain facilities license, certification and eventually accreditation and meet any other applicable compliance requirements.

     Policy and procedure development and review.

     Maximize financial performance

     Individual and group supervision of counselors, social workers, nurses, operations managers, CSP staff and consulting psychiatrist.

     Fosters teamwork within division and among divisions of COMPASS

     Act as gatekeeper for access to residential and outpatient services in MC Behavioral Health

     Limited group and individual counseling activities with clients.

     Contact with clients/residents, families significant others, service providers, etc.

     Present inservices/training as needed to various staff within the agency.

    QUALIFICATIONS FOR JOB

    Education/Experience: Master’s Degree in counseling or social work required. 5+ years in mental health services, plus 1 year experience in a supervisory role with demonstrated ability to provide indivisual and group supervison strongly preferred. Must be able to provide coverage and to respond to emergencies on an on-call basis.

    Technology: Proficient with electronic medical records systems. Strong knowledge and use of Microsoft Office Products. Ability to conduct meetings virtually.

    Miscellaneous requirements: Reliable transportation; Criminal background check; Clear driving record; Pre-employment drug screen; TB Test required. Mini Physical may be required. CPR/First Aid Training preferred. Periodic walking and standing during the day. May involve physical intervention with clients experiencing crisis situations. Potential exposure to blood borne pathogens.

    Must meet COMPASS automobile liability insurance carrier guidelines to be insurable under the COMPASS policy. Note: COMPASS clients should be transported using a COMPASS vehicle, if a COMPASS vehicle is not available then the staff member is responsible to verify that they maintain adequate coverage through their personal carrier. If a COMPASS vehicle is not available, then the staff member is responsible to verify that they maintain coverage through their personal carrier for business related travel, including the transporting of clients, and must provide proof of coverage to COMPASS prior to transporting any COMPASS clients.

    Interpersonal/Human Relations Skills: Emotional stability, good planning and organization skills; responds appropriately to spontaneous situations.
