Position: Behavioral Health Counselor to provide services in correctional and outpatient settings. Salary $: Full time with competitive salary and comprehensive benefits and leave time package. General Duties
Diagnostic Assessment, including court-ordered mental health assessments
Individual and/or group counseling
CPST services (as applicable)
Decisions pertaining to clients’ need for additional services, resources or more restrictive settings
Choice of treatment modalities, interventions and techniques
Pursues collateral contacts to gather additional psychosocial information when indicated
Utilizes supervision and/or consultation to mitigate risk and seek input re: challenging circumstances
Diagnostic assessment, progress notes, treatment plans
Conforms to Program, ODMH, CARF and third-party payer standards and obligation
Documented billable activity divided by the total number of hours worked in direct service. Standard is 20 hours per week (out of a 40 hour work week).

QUALIFICATIONS FOR JOB
Education/Experience: Master’s or Doctorate degree in social work, counseling or psychology; Ohio- Licensed Social Worker, Counselor or Psychologist.
Technology: Experience using computers, Electronic Health Records (Credible), office phone and cell phone, email, fax/copy machine
Miscellaneous requirements: Criminal Background Check, Pre-employment drug screen; Clear driving record; CPR/First-Aid certification; completion of Agency required trainings/courses. Walking and standing, frequent movement throughout a correctional and/or office setting. Must meet COMPASS automobile liability insurance carrier guidelines to be insurable under the COMPASS policy. Note: COMPASS clients should be transported using a COMPASS vehicle, if a COMPASS vehicle is not available then the staff member is responsible to verify that they maintain adequate coverage through their personal carrier. If a COMPASS vehicle is not available, then the staff member is responsible to verify that they maintain coverage through their personal carrier for business related travel, including the transporting of clients, and must provide proof of coverage to COMPASS prior to transporting any COMPASS clients.
