Director, Clinic for Individual and Family Counseling

Responsibilities
The Clinic Director is a part-time (20 hours per week) staff position in the College of Health Professions. The position of Clinic Director is recommended by the School of Counseling Director who serves as position supervisor, and appointed by the Dean, taking into consideration clinical licensure, supervisory competence, and prior clinical management/administrative experience. The Clinic Director is responsible for oversight of training, research, and service functions offered by the Clinic, Graduate/Student Assistants, fiscal and physical resources, and development and implementation of policies and procedures.
Specific Duties
- Oversight of duties performed by Clinical Coordinator and Clinic support staff
- Development and implementation of policies and procedures related to the clinical training, client service, and research functions of the Clinic
- Quality assurance of the Clinic's operating system and technology
- Oversight of Clinic's fiscal operations
- Oversight of the Clinic's training function (e.g., monitoring of Clinic orientation workshop, clinical documentation)
- Oversight of Clinic's research function (e.g., monitoring of Clinic testing and evaluation materials, research protocols, confidentiality of research records)
- Oversight of Clinic's service function (e.g., monitoring of client satisfaction, services rendered to clientele, community outreach and publicity efforts, community support initiatives)
- Oversight of insurance credentialing and billing
- Promote and ensure compliance rules, regulations, and accreditation standards
- Service as liaison between the Clinic and community mental health agencies for marketing and outreach purposes
- Provide direct clinical supervision to clinical trainees
- Service as tertiary emergency On-Call Clinical Supervisor when clinical consultation is needed
- Work closely and collaboratively with School of Counseling faculty and Director
- Report directly to School of Counseling Director
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in counseling, counselor education, or related field
- Licensed or license-eligible for LPCC-S in the state of Ohio
- Minimum of 3 years clinical experience in behavioral health
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in counselor education and supervision
- Familiarity with training and mental health accreditation agencies (e.g., CACREP and COAMFTE, OMHAS)
- Knowledge of credentialing and billing
- Ability to coordinate faculty, staff, and graduate students to fulfill the Clinic's mission
- Ability to develop/implement policies and procedures for the Clinic
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
