Full Time Therapist/Clinician(LPC/LSW/MFT)

Position Overview
This is a unique opportunity to join the team of an innovative growing practice of on-campus substance use and mental health treatment centers that meet students where they are. The position is based at The Haven Outpatient Center on the campus of the Miami University in Oxford, OH. The position reports to the Outpatient Center Clinical Director and works closely with the Student Care Manager and Case Manager. Candidates must demonstrate experience in diagnosing Substance Use and Co-Occurring Disorders through a working knowledge of the DSM-5. As an LPC, MFT, or LSW in the state of Ohio, you will adhere to the best practice and ethical standards as dictated by the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical:
- Conduct clinical assessments for admission to Haven Outpatient Center and/or recommendations/referrals to a higher level of care. Clinician will contact referent within 24 hours and if an ROI is in place, contact family within 24 hours.
- Facilitate individual, family, and group outpatient therapy sessions as needed
- Develop individualized treatment plans for the clients based on needs, input from clinical staff, and implement and maintain treatment plans every 30 days.
- Complete discharge Summaries.
- Attend and actively participate in weekly treatment team meetings and provide updates and progress on all clients.
- Maintaining accurate records, current client progress reports and completion notices through timely reporting in the EMR to ensure compliance with all Federal and State regulations
Student Safety, and HIPPA compliance:
- Maintain client safety at all times while in the facility or during care
Collaboration Across Continuum of Care
- Maintain communication with parents (if ROI is in place) regarding progress and any concerns
- Maintain communication with referral source regarding progress if necessary
- Provide paperwork in a timely manner to clients, courts, probation and parole departments and referral sources
- Coordinate and cooperate with local agencies and university departments I.e. student counseling, ethics, etc. necessary to expedite treatment for each patient
- Demonstrate a willingness to be flexible and support co-workers as needed;
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s level or above
- Minimum 2 years experience in substance abuse field
Required Certification
- Minimum MFT, LSW, LPC in current standing with Ohio CSWMFT Board
- Current Adult CPR certification
- Current Adult First Aid certification

Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of resident privacy and rights; maintains confidentiality of all financial and other sensitive materials and information in printed, electronic or verbal form, which may jeopardize the privacy of residents and/or employees. Accesses and uses the minimum necessary resident identifiable information to perform job responsibilities and only for authorized purposes.
Physical Requirements/Work Environments
There is some walking, bending, and kneeling which may occur with long periods of sitting in vehicle while transporting; must be able to participate in moderate lifting of 30 or more pounds (packages, etc.). This position must be able to support resident weight in case of emergency or client disability requiring assistance in walking, etc. There is a risk of exposure to bodily fluids infections, contagious / blood borne diseases, and chemicals (cleaning agents), an exposed risk to highway accidents, and an exposed risk to varying, unpredictable situations (i.e. client behavior)
