    JOB TITLE: Sexual Assault Response Coordinator

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Sexual Assault Response Coordinator is responsible for educating and coordinating with each University/College in Greene County and the community at large about the dynamics of sexual assault, criminal statutes, legal responses, victim’s rights, individual counseling, including assessments with sexual assault survivors and conducting the Sexual Assault Support Services group (SASS). This position is responsible for understanding and promoting the mission and values of the Family Violence Prevention Center. This is an exempt professional position.

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Responsible for agency sexual assault response services
    • Coordinating with the 5 Universities in Greene County to provide education to incoming students, consultation regarding development of University responses to Title IX requirements, providing intervention support to victims on and off campus’
    • Scheduling and conducting individual Diagnostic Assessments of Sexual Assault Survivors per mental health guidelines and documentations standards;
    • Provide individual therapy to sexual assault victims both Residential and Outreach clients;
    • Provide support group services to Residential and Outreach clients;
    • Statistical data collection and monthly reporting of outreach and residential data
    • Outcome evaluation as assigned;
    • Participate in Multi-Disciplinary Team; act as an advocate for adults.
    • As needed, program development in conjunction with Executive Director.
    • Provide education and training as needed regarding victims of sexual assault to other professionals in the agency and community and conduct appropriate educational programs as assigned.
    • Responsible for agency records
    • Maintain documentation of training, consultation and support records
    • Maintain up-to-date Clinical Records on clients on no less than a weekly basis and documentation per mental health standards;
    • Supervision and Licensing
    • Maintain professional licensure;
    • Supervise Intern Student.

    SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Adherence to all agency policies and procedures;
    • Other duties as assigned; and
    • Participate in all staff meetings.

    • Proven clinical skills with diverse populations of clients
    • Ability to function as member of multi-disciplinary team
    • Presentation and educational skills
    • Ability to provide direction and supervision to paraprofessional and professional staff under direct supervision
    • Knowledge of community resources and their relationship to clients’ needs
    • Sound judgment and ability to interpret agency policies, procedures, and philosophy to others
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality
    • Knowledge of trauma informed care, voluntary services, crisis intervention techniques, stages of development

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is typically sitting or standing. Must be able to sit for extended periods.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    The work environment is generally an indoor office environment. May require some travel to community agencies or meetings.

    SUPERVISES: Intern Students as assigned

    SUPERVISED BY: Clinical Coordinator

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Requires a Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling with 1-2 years Clinical experience providing group and individual counseling to a diverse population of clients; Licensure as an LSW,LISW/PC or PCC required. Supervisory and administrative experience preferred. Knowledge of domestic and sexual violence field preferred. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily.     40-hour work week, some evening and weekend work may be required and other as required.
