Positions: Behavioral Health Clinician to provide services in correctional and outpatient settings. Salary $: Full time with competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. Position is also eligible for incentive bonus based upon service delivery targets.
OVERVIEW:
General Duties: Complete assessments of client behavioral health and substance use history and current status. Engagement strategies to develop trusting relationships to enhance successful behavioral health/substance use outcomes providing educational, behavioral, motivational and relapse prevention interventions. Demonstrate mental health and addiction counseling competencies. Assist in coordinating individual treatment planning including aftercare and recovery support services. Participate in engaging and motivating all clients in all treatment goals, especially and specifically those related to behavioral health issues. Assist clients receiving behavioral health and substance use recovery to become engaged in self-help groups. Assist clients receiving behavioral health and substance use treatment in developing and maintaining social support networks Assess need for inpatient treatment and coordinate such. Provide individual and group counseling specific to behavioral health and substance use. Provide interventions aimed at client recognition of relationships between substance use, mental illness, and medications. Collaborate with other team members on individual cases. Provide training to other team members on signs, symptoms and early identification of behavioral health and substance use disorders. Develop and implement person-centered individual treatment plans and subsequent documentation of services. Provide direct service, including social, emotional and instrumental support to all clients as an integrated staff member. Maintain specified impact ratio standards.

Qualifications: Mental Health credentials: LPC or LSW are required with LISW or LPCC preferred. Chemical Dependency credentials (LICDC/LCDC) and/or extensive experience is a plus. Education/Experience: Minimum of Master’s degree in clinical counseling, social services, human services. Minimum of three (3) years’ experience providing mental health and substance use disorder treatments. Experience working with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness, substance abuse, and the incarcerated population. Requirements: Criminal background check; Pre-employment Drug Screen; Clear driving record; CPR Training required; TB test. Physical Requirements: Normal activity, potential exposure to blood borne pathogens. Miscellaneous: Knowledgeable of various community resources. Will work as part of an integrated team. Transportation of clients may be necessary and willingness to work within the community including clients’ homes. Exempt: Not eligible for over time
