    Capital University invites qualified candidates to apply for a position in our growing Counselor Education program at the rank of Clinical Professor. This is a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position.

    The Capital University Counselor Education program is a hybrid-format graduate program. The program is currently undergoing a CACREP self-study for accreditation in the coming year. The position will be responsible for a 3/3 course load, with some student academic advising and program oversight possible. Although research and service are not a requirement of the position, they are encouraged and supported.

    Position Requirements:

    • ·        An earned doctorate in Counseling or Counselor Education and Supervision from a CACRREP accredited program OR an earned doctorate in a CORE-accredited doctoral program with employment as a full-time faculty member in a counselor preparation program for a minimum of one full academic year before July 2013.
    • ·        Experience as a Professional School Counselor or Clinical Counselor.
    • ·        A record of successful professional experience or successful experience teaching in higher education.
    • ·        Professional identity within the counseling professional as evidenced through membership in professional organizations relevant to counseling.
    • ·        Licensed or license-eligible as a professional counselor (LPC) in Ohio and/or as a professional school counselor through the Ohio Department of Education.
    • ·        Evidence of ability to teach and work with persons from diverse backgrounds.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • ·        Excellent written and oral communication skills.
    • ·        Dispositional skills which fit the mission of Capital University and the Counseling Program.
    • ·        Evidence of scholarly production.
    • ·        Experience with hybrid learning environments.
