Title: Trumbull County Behavioral Health Director
Salary $: Full time. Competitive salary and benefits package based on licensure and skills and experience.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
1. ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES (Addiction/Behavioral Health Services, ACT Team, and Prevention):
a) Represent agency in community behavioral health system’s planning and clinical issues meetings, regularly scheduled and ad hoc.
b) Maintains Performance Improvement and service evaluation requests.
c) Program development trends: New funding/reimbursement sources. Expanding existing services/programs as appropriate.
d) Maintain facilities license, certification and eventually accreditation and meet any other applicable compliance requirements.
e) Collaborates other community agencies with high community visibility.
f) Policy and procedure development and review.
g) Implementation and administration of agency policies and procedures.
h) Maximize financial performance.
2. SUPERVISORY DUTIES
a) Individual and group supervision of counselors, social workers, nurses, operations managers, and consulting psychiatrist and nurse practitioners and well as interns.
b) Must be a team builder and fosters teamwork within the division and among divisions of COMPASS.

3. DIRECT SERVICE DUTIES
a) Limited group and individual counseling activities with clients.
b) Discharge planning activities from local and State hospitals.
4. CONTACT WITH CLIENTS/RESIDENTS ESSENTIALS OTHERS
a) Families significant others, service providers, etc.
5. STAFF DEVELOPMENT
a) Present in services/training as needed to various staff within the agency.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience: LISW/ LPCC is required. Supervisory designation is preferred. Five plus years’ experience in mental health and dual diagnoses services, counseling/case management and/or community resource linkage. 3+ years’ experience in a supervisory role with demonstrated ability to provide individual and group supervision. Must be able to provide coverage and to respond to emergencies on an on call-basis.
Technology: Proficient with electronic medical records systems. Strong knowledge and use of Microsoft Office Products.
Miscellaneous requirements: Reliable transportation; criminal background check, clear driving record and drug screen; proficient in computer skills; TB Test; CPR/First Aid Training preferred.
Physical Demands: Periodic walking and standing during the day. May involve physical intervention with clients experiencing crisis situations. Potential exposure to blood borne pathogens.
Personal: Emotional stability, team builder, creative, innovator, good planning and organization skills; demonstrates strong communication skills and responds appropriately to spontaneous situations.
Exempt: Not eligible for over time.
